The brief, to develop the property into a 4-bedroom, New England style inspired family home for sale on the open market.
This property, located in Lodsworth, a picturesque West Sussex village in the South Downs National Park, had been unoccupied for some time and hence in poor condition. The existing layout featured a very compact footprint with 3 perfectly located yet very small single bedrooms.
Our design facilitated the enlargement of the existing habitable rooms within the existing building envelope, thus maintaining their perfect orientation. New front, side and rear extensions were added to relocate all existing ancillary spaces as well as provide new accommodation.
A front extension houses the entrance and hallway, stairs and landing and a first floor family bathroom. And a side wing accommodates a dedicated kitchen-dining room and sizeable master-bedroom suite above, replacing an existing garage and glazed lean-to.
